July was a very slow month due to the high temperatures here in the Netherlands.
The Electrum Archive
Almost all of my time this month was spent working on TEA. I have finished all the illustrations I still needed and did a good first draft of the layout for the zine. Progress on the text has slowed a bit since Ava needs a little more time to do her final pass, but it will be well worth the wait. I’ll probably resurrect TEA Tuesdays next week to show off some of the progress we’ve made so far :) Here is a sneak peek at some of the illustrations I made this month:
Wyrd Science
The Kickstarter for Wyrd Science magazine issue 3 concluded last week. I had the pleasure of illustrating a page that will accompany a feature about mental health and sanity mechanics in TTRPGs.
Odds and Ends
I started a Blades in the Dark campaign last month and it has been a lot of fun to run. I really enjoy the back and forth between me and my players about what is going on and what would be cool.
I finally tracked down a physical copy of Morrowind that still had an intact poster map. So I can’t wait to hang that bad boy on the wall in my workspace.
I’m currently reading The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin and I’m really enjoying her writing style. While going about my day, I enjoy slowly digesting the new pages I read the evening before.
A bit of a short round-up this month, but as I said, it was a slow month.
Stay safe and I’ll talk to you again next month!
