Hey all!
September was a month of tidying up some loose ends after a big release and getting ready for the next part of the year. I spent the first half of the month finishing the last commissions I still had left and prepping The Electrum Archive for print. The second half of the month involved me getting a bad case of the flu for a week and going on a short holiday trip to unwind after I got better.
The Electrum Archive
So the first half of the month was spent getting the first issue ready for print and I am really happy with how it turned out! The paper quality is really nice and I’m excited for you all to hold it in your hands!
The zine will be available for purchase in a bunch of different zine shops around the globe so keep an eye out for it! I’ll update you all with specific places to get it once they become available!
For now, if you want to get your hands on it (together with some of my other earlier zines), you can pre-order the Emiel Boven Bundle from Iko’s newly opened The Lost Bay store. It includes The Electrum Archive, Wizardry!, Lair of the Gobbler and DURF at a discounted bundle price!
DURF Jam 2022
As mentioned in the last newsletter, the second-ever DURF Jam will start tomorrow and will run until the 11th of November. So join us for a month of brewing fun adventures and hacks for use with DURF!
Barkeep on the Borderlands
Besides working on The Electrum Archive, the rest of my time in early September was spent working on a really fun illustration for Prismatic Wasteland’s Barkeep on the Borderlands! I had a lot of fun putting this depiction of Zedeck Siew’s bar The Whirling Mummy together:

Free CC-BY Art Library & Patreon
I finished illustrating the “Classic Fantasy Classes” theme chosen by my patrons and they are all available in the free Creative Commons art library I’m slowly building.
For the new theme, my patrons voted on “Critters and Minions” so I’ve started working on illustrations of some funky little goblins and other creatures :)

Odds and Ends
After I recovered from my flu I took a short trip with my partner to look at some old ruins and relax.
Marcia wrote an interesting blog post about coins, experience and encumbrance in old-school style TTRPG games, which I think is worth checking out.
That’s all for now, I’ll see you again at the end of this month :)
Stay safe!
